Manufacturing processes in healthcare optimized by beas

Sorbion AG, located in Senden (Germany), is a modern and internationally operating company in the healthcare field, developing, manufacturing, and distributing medical devices (wound dressings).
As an ever-expanding company, sorbion chose the customized IT solution of beas GmbH in October 2011. Therefore SAP Business One was complemented for sorbion by modules of the beas production and beas communication solution.
The project phase started in January 2012.
As a result of the special demands of sorbion, beas Manufacturing Basis and beas Supply Chain Management Basis are established with additional beas modules next to SAP Business One. These include mobile data collection for warehouse / bin location management, extended inventory, additional options for the control of goods receipt, stock movements, quality control, cost accounting and also representation of blanket orders by SCM-Purchase/Receipt and SCM-Sales/Shipment.
