OFTP-Monitor (third party product)
OFTP is the description for a file transfer protocol in Odette format (VDA 4914). Protocol is responsible for the exchange of electronical data between heterogeneous computer systems, also when different network protocol are used. For giving such function the different OFTP monitors define stations with Odette parameter. In general OFTP connection is secure, because only files are transferred between known systems. Unknown systems are denied and known systems have to verify the connection has to be verified with password to transfer files. Access, functions or anything else is not available and can not be proceed, only are transferred. A possible solution for internal communication is available on all monitors, this is used by beas SCM.
The input for be.as SCM is every time an unconverted file, it doesn't matter if this is done by a monitor or any other form of communication or manual.
